Divya Balasubramanian

Divya Balasubramanian serves as the Scouts Telehealth Medical Director and Geriatric Emergency Department Medical Co-Director at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since April 2020, also holding a position as an Emergency Medicine Staff Physician. In addition, Divya is an Emergency Medicine Physician with The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. Physician Recruitment Services since October 2022 and previously worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Associate Site Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White Health from November 2015 to August 2022. Divya completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at the University at Buffalo from 2012 to 2015, and earned a D.O. in Medicine from UNT Health Science Center. A Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in Biology, Finance, Chemistry, and Medical Anthropology was obtained from the SMU Cox School of Business between 2005 and 2008.
