Krystal Toles

Krystal Toles is an experienced professional with a background in government and communications. From December 2018 to April 2023, Toles served as the VHA Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, along with fulfilling the role of Executive Assistant since December 2018. Toles also held the position of Acting VHA Deputy Chief of Staff during this tenure. Prior experience includes working as a Technical Writer and Correspondence Analyst at the Federal Protective Service from January 2008 to July 2012, a Security Specialist at Amylin Pharmaceuticals from January 2006 to January 2008, and a Sports Writer at Washington Post Express from September 2004 to August 2006. Toles holds a Master of Arts in Journalism/Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Southern California.
