Michelle S.

Michelle S. has extensive experience in veteran healthcare management and caregiver support, currently serving as the VA Caregiver National Program Manager for Peer Support Mentoring at the Veterans Administration since May 2011. In this role, Michelle oversees the National Family Caregiver Peer Support Mentoring Program, managing training, matching caregivers with mentors, and handling program operations and budgeting. Prior to this position, Michelle worked from November 2002 to May 2011 as the OEF/OIF/OND Program Manager at the Veterans Affairs New Jersey Healthcare System, where achievements included establishing the first Dedicated In-Patient Hospice Unit and developing comprehensive support programs for veterans and their families, as well as strategic planning and collaboration with numerous agencies. Michelle holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University and California Coast University.
