Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy is an experienced leader with a diverse background in both public service and corporate management. Currently serving as the District Director for the Northeast at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Tom has also held prominent roles such as Acting Under Secretary for Benefits and Area Director for the Midwest. Their leadership in the Compensation Service has involved oversight of policy, training, and management functions for a large workforce. Prior to this, Tom worked at The Home Depot as Director of Merchandise Planning, Director of Sourcing, and Store Manager, where Tom focused on performance optimization and supplier negotiations. Additional experience includes engineering management at Qwest Communications and logistics and human resources management with the Department of the Army. Tom holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a BS in Organizational Management from Colorado Christian University.
