John Mlade

John Mlade is the Director of Sustainable and Healthy Environments at Wight & Company, where the focus is on promoting sustainability within a design-led design-build firm. With experience in various leadership roles, John serves on the 2022 Greenbuild Steering Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Illinois Green Alliance. Additionally, John holds positions on the Materials Advisory Board for the International WELL Building Institute and participates in the City of Chicago Sustainable Development Policy Working Group. John has been involved with the National Institutes of Health's Health in Building Roundtable and previously served on the Technical Committee for the Health Product Declaration Collaborative. John's earlier experience includes a director role at WSP USA and co-facilitating the Chicago Materials Working Group. Academic achievements include a BA in Environmental Sciences/People-Environment Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS in Construction Management - Green Building from Colorado State University, and an MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago.
