Nadia Cortez

Nadia Cortez is a seasoned professional in legislative affairs, currently serving as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the Office of Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) since February 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Legislative Assistant in the Office of Congresswoman Elaine Luria (VA-02) from July 2021 to December 2022, and various positions including Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant in the Office of Congressman Jimmy Gomez (CA-34). Nadia began a career in the U.S. House of Representatives as an intern for the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis in early 2021. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Policy from the American University School of International Service and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of South Florida.
