Jonathan Lett currently serves as the Director J5 Policy at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jonathan held the position of Commander British Forces South Atlantic Islands at Strategic Command from November 2020 to May 2023 and acted as the UK Liaison Officer to US SOUTHCOM at the UK Ministry of Defence from June 2017 to August 2020. Jonathan's experience includes serving as the UK Royal Navy Warfare Officers' Career Manager and Chief of Staff to the Senior British Military Advisor at U.S. Central Command. Additionally, Jonathan held significant command positions aboard HMS MONTROSE, HMS CLYDE, and HMS MERSEY, while also participating in advanced military education programs such as the Advanced Command and Staff Course. Jonathan's educational background includes a Master of Arts in War Studies from the Joint Services Command and Staff College and a Bachelor of Arts in Maritime Science Management and Technology from RNEC Manadon.
