Their field of study during their undergraduate years was Economics and International Business. Lorenzo also has a degree in Ing. Agronomo from Universidad Autónoma Chapingo, which they earned from 1985 to 1989. This degree focused on Agriculture economics. Additionally, Lorenzo Elizalde obtained a certification in "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" from Coursera in August 2014.
