Vineet Mahajan

CTO at U.S. News & World Report

Vineet Mahajan is the current Chief Technology Officer at U.S. News & World Report. Prior to this, they served as the CTO of Future plc from April 2013 to January 2019. In this role, they were responsible for enabling the profitable growth of the B2B Media company and expanding subscribers to 6M+ business leaders across 14 industries. Vineet also scaled tech and product teams to build a content discovery and data insights platform for one of the largest business newsletter networks.

Prior to their role at Future, Mahajan served as the interim CTO and Vice President of Media Group at AOL from September 2007 to April 2013. In this role, they managed technology & data strategy for AOL's media business driven by 150M+ monthly unique visitors across news (HuffingtonPost, TechCrunch), finance, lifestyle, entertainment, commerce, and marketplace sites. Vineet oversaw a global engineering and product team of 300+ and drove product development for web, mobile, and video. Vineet also led global product expansion and revitalization, prioritizing user engagement and monetization. In addition, they scaled AOL's CMS platform to enable personalization, SEO, community features, and billions of monthly page views.

Vineet Mahajan completed an executive education program at the Georgia Institute of Technology and went on to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Georgia. Vineet began their educational career with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.

They are on a team with Sumita Singh - SVP & GM, Healthcare, Ben Harder - Chief Health Analyst, and Chad Smolinski - Chief Product Officer. Vineet Mahajan reports to Eric Gertler, Executive Chairman & CEO.
