David Short

David Short currently serves as the Chief of Missile Defense in the J31 Division Chief role at NORAD & US Northern Command, focusing on Ground Based Mid-Course Defense and Integrated Air & Missile Defense since August 2021. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant to the Chief of Staff (ACoS) for NATO from July 2020 to July 2021, where responsibilities involved NATO's Rapid Deployable Corps-Turkey and the NATO Response Force. David Short has also held significant roles such as Battalion Commander for the 1st Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery, and Branch Chief for Future Operations at United States Strategic Command. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Stonehill College, a Master’s in Military Strategic Studies from The United States Army War College, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Management from Webster University.
