Doug Tharp

Doug Tharp is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in nuclear regulatory and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Learning Project Manager for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission since March 2003, Doug Tharp specializes in analyzing performance needs and developing innovative learning solutions while facilitating a shift towards a performance-centered approach. Previous roles include Resident Inspector at Clinton Power Station, where oversight of nuclear operations and training was a key responsibility, and a Reactor Engineer supporting inspection programs. Doug Tharp's earlier career includes notable service as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, where experience as a nuclear qualified Electrician's Mate and officer was gained.
