Ashley Smith, FSA, MAAA has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Currently, they are the Director and Actuary, Value-Based Care Analytics at U.S. Renal Care, where they oversee analytics related to value-based care. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager and Actuary in the same field at U.S. Renal Care.

Before joining U.S. Renal Care, Ashley was a Senior Actuarial Consultant at Aon, where they played a crucial role in setting medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision reserves for clients of various sizes. Ashley also performed quarterly forecasting and analysis for a large PEO, incorporating pricing improvements and assessing the impact of new business.

Ashley's career began as an Actuarial Consultant at Aetna, where they recommended monthly large claim reserves and implemented solutions for increased efficiency and accuracy. Ashley also worked as an Actuarial Analyst at Aetna, contributing to the reserving process and providing timely recommendations to market actuaries.

During their time at Lebanon Valley College, Ashley served as a Valley Ambassador, and at Arooga's, they worked as a Server. Ashley also gained valuable experience as an Actuarial Intern at Mercer, where they analyzed employer data, developed proficiency in Excel, and assisted with cost projections and pricing health plans.

Ashley's diverse experience across different industries and their expertise as an actuary make their a valuable asset in the field of analytics and actuarial work.

Ashley Smith, FSA, MAAA holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and Economics from Lebanon Valley College, which was obtained from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Red Land High School, earning a diploma from 2007 to 2011. Ashley has also obtained various certifications and qualifications, including the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) in 2022, the Member, American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) in 2020, and the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) in 2018. Furthermore, they have achieved numerous exam successes, including Exam 5/MLC - Models for Life Contingencies and Exam 4/C - Construction and Evaluation of Actuarial Models, among others. Lastly, Ashley has completed the FAP Modules and various VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) courses in Corporate Finance, Applied Statistical Methods, and Economics.
