Anika van Eaton

Anika Van Eaton has extensive work experience in policy, research, and economic development. Anika currently holds the position of Vice President of Policy at uAspire, a role they have occupied since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Massachusetts Policy Director at uAspire from March 2020 to April 2022.

Anika also worked at the Boston Private Industry Council, starting as a Senior Research Analyst in July 2015 and eventually becoming the Research Manager from September 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they conducted research and wrote reports on college completion, youth program alumni education and career pathways, and labor market analysis.

Before their time at the Boston Private Industry Council, Anika worked as an Independent Consultant at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness from January 2015 to August 2015, where they focused on economic development projects. Anika also worked as an Independent Consultant at HCM Strategists from August 2014 to March 2015.

Anika's earlier experience includes being a Graduate Analyst at the US Government Accountability Office from June 2014 to August 2014, a Research Assistant at the George Washington Institute of Public Policy from October 2013 to May 2014, and an AmeriCorps Summer Youth Corps Crew Leader at Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa from May 2013 to August 2013.

Anika began their career as a Legislative Coordinator at the California Secretary of State Debra Bowen's office from January 2012 to December 2012. Prior to that, they held roles as a Management Analyst from July 2010 to December 2011 and as an Executive Fellow, Legislation and Constituent Affairs from November 2009 to July 2010 at the same office.

Anika's earliest work experience was as a Senior Membership Associate at Fight Crime: Invest in Kids from May 2007 to October 2009. Overall, their work experience spans various policy, research, and consulting roles, with a focus on education, workforce development, and economic analysis.

Anika Van Eaton completed their Master of Public Administration degree in Program and Policy Analysis at the George Washington University - Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a BA degree from Cornell University in 2007, majoring in Government and City and Regional Planning.
