Usman Isiaka

Usman Isiaka has a strong background in the banking industry, with over 25 years of experience. Usman currently serves as the Deputy CEO at UBA America. Prior to this, they held the role of Managing Director/CEO at United Bank for Africa (Sierra Leone) Limited from 2020 to 2023. From 2018 to 2020, they were the Managing Director at United Bank for Africa (Tanzania) Limited. Usman also worked as the Deputy Managing Director at United Bank for Africa (Ghana) Ltd from 2014 to 2016. Usman Isiaka started their career at United Bank for Africa PLC, where they held various positions, including Deputy Group Chief Inspector/Head, Audit & Control Africa and Divisional Head, Internal Control. Before joining UBA, they were the Head, Group Risk Mgt & Control at Standard Trust Bank PLC, Nigeria. Usman began their banking career at Citizens International Bank Ltd, where they served as Deputy Chief Inspector.

Usman Isiaka completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University between 1985 and 1989. In 1990 and 1991, they pursued professional accounting qualifications at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, earning the ACA (1991) and later the FCA (2010) designation. Later on, in 1996 and 1997, they pursued their Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano.
