Warren Cardinal-McTeague

Assistant Professor at UBC Faculty of Forestry

Warren Cardinal-McTeague is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in biology, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia since July 2022. With a robust research background, Warren is also a Research Associate at the Canadian Museum of Nature since September 2020, and formerly held the position of Research Scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada from November 2020 to June 2022. Warren's prior experience includes an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institut de recherche en biologie végétale from November 2018 to October 2020 and Graduate Researcher at the Canadian Museum of Nature from September 2011 to October 2018. Additionally, Warren completed a Smithsonian Institution Predoctoral Fellowship at the National Museum Of Natural History in late 2015. Warren earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology from the University of Ottawa (2011-2018) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of Alberta (2006-2011).
