James Reid

James Reid has worked in various roles in the product design and UX design fields since 2002. James'smost recent role is as a Product Design Lead - Software at UBCO - Utility Electric Vehicles, which they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Design Lead and Senior UX Designer at Fergus from 2018-2022. From 2017-2018, they worked as a Senior UX Designer at Harmoney, where they were part of the customer experience team leading the redesign of the customer acquisition funnel. From 2015-2017, they worked as a Senior User Experience Designer at Orion Health, and from 2013-2015 they worked as a Senior Designer at Infinity - Brand, Digital and Strategy. Prior to this, they worked as a freelance Retoucher / Illustrator / Designer at Photographic-Retoucher.com from 2011-2013, as a Photographic Retoucher at .99 from 2006-2011, and as a Prepress Mac Operator at Omnigraphics from 2002-2006. James'sfirst role was as an Assistant Audio Engineer at York Street Recording Studio from 1996-2002.

James Reid obtained their Diploma in Computer Graphics & Design from Media Design School in 2001. James also obtained a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and Design from Auckland University of Technology in 1999. In 1996, they earned a Diploma in Audio Engineering & Music Production from the School of Audio Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Ideas to Action from IDEO U in 2017, Leading for Creativity from IDEO U in 2017, Insights for Innovation from IDEO U in 2017, Storytelling for Influence from IDEO U in 2017, Mastering Jobs To Be Done from Udemy in 2015, and How to Build a Startup The Lean LaunchPad from Udacity in 2013.
