Jake Buhrig

Jake Buhrig has a diverse and extensive work experience in design roles. Jake currently works as a Product Design Lead at Uberflip since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Designer at MindBeacon from May 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining MindBeacon, Jake was a Senior Product Designer at Rise People from May 2020 to April 2021. In this role, they were responsible for creating an extensive and modular design system and set of standards to unify the Rise platform. Jake worked closely with the Design, Product, and Engineering teams to achieve this.

Prior to Rise People, Jake worked at Mogo as a Sr Product Designer and later as a Product Designer from 2018 to 2020. Jake'sresponsibilities included working on multiple products, such as loans and the MogoCard, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Jake's earlier experiences include working as a UX/UI Design Lead and UX/UI Designer at Eventbase from 2015 to 2018. Jake led the design team and made process improvements while working on improving the design and experience of Eventbase's mobile and web-based products.

Jake's career began as a UX/UI Designer at Verified Network Inc., where they collaborated with the development team to create internal brand standards, investment materials, presentations, websites, and UX/UI designs for mobile and web-based applications.

Jake also gained experience in a graphic design role at The Navigator, Vancouver Island University's biweekly student-run paper, where they served as an Art Director and Graphic Designer.

Prior to entering the design field, Jake worked as a Technical Support Representative at Shaw Communications from 2008 to 2011.
