Johanna Baro

Johanna Baro is a highly experienced data scientist with a strong background in machine learning and predictive analytics. Currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Matawan since February 2025, Johanna has previously held key positions including Senior Data Scientist at Fieldbox and Machine Learning Research Engineer at Institut de Recherche Technologique SystemX, where contributions involved validating Proof of Concepts and developing prototypes for AI and machine learning projects. Johanna's diverse experience includes leading a team in predictive analytics and urban modeling at ForCity, as well as undertaking research roles focused on statistical analysis and geospatial data. With a PhD in Spatial Statistics and Geographical Information Sciences and multiple master's degrees, Johanna combines strong academic qualifications with practical expertise in data-driven urban development and machine learning applications.
