Philip Lee has a diverse range of work experience in sourcing and project management roles. Philip started their career as a Project Engineer at JTouch Corporation, where they handled key account Samsung projects and focused on controlling project development risk and coordinating communications. Philip then moved on to Liteon Youngfast as a Project Manager, where they handled key account Nokia projects and was responsible for overall project development and problem-solving.
In 2011, Philip joined HTC and worked in multiple roles. As a Sr. Specialist, they identified and executed sourcing strategies for Touch Window components and maintained positive relationships with internal teams and suppliers. Philip also surveyed and evaluated new touch materials and solutions. As a Supervisor, Philip focused on sourcing strategies for Touch + LCM total solutions, including relationships with suppliers and evaluating new solutions like in-cell and AMOLED. In their later role as an Assistant Manager, they handled camera sourcing and worked with internal teams and suppliers to develop and execute sourcing strategies, as well as surveying and evaluating new solutions.
In 2018, Philip moved on to Xiaomi Communication Co., Ltd, where they served as the MiPhone Sourcing Manager for Camera Lens. In this role, they developed and executed sourcing strategies, partnered with internal teams to enable successful product launches at scale, and developed an understanding of cost benchmarks and technologies to guide product development decisions.
Most recently, Philip joined Ubiquiti Networks as a Sourcing Manager for Optical Components. Their responsibilities include identifying and executing sourcing strategies for optical components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and risks, and guiding vendor strategies.
Philip Lee obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing from Auckland University of Technology in 2006.
