David James

Director of Module Development at Ubiquitous Energy

David James has a wealth of experience in research and product management. David began their career in 2005 as a Summer Intern at Dstl. In 2006, they worked as a Research Assistant at CEA, where they conducted a Masters research project in the Nanostructures and Magnetism Laboratory. In 2007, they held a Leonardo daVinci Summer Internship at the Centre for Research Technology and Innovation of the University of Seville. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Researcher at Imperial College London, where they were involved in fabrication and characterisation of organic semiconductor devices, simulation and experiment to probe structure-property relationships, development of a new solution-processing technique to grow aligned organic crystals for OTFTs, and development of a polarised spectroscopy technique to probe molecular orientation in OTFTs. In 2013, they took on a freelance role as an Academic Editor at Cactus Communications. From 2015 to 2022, they held roles as Product Manager / Operations Director at File It.tax and Director of Module Development at Ubiquitous Energy.

David James completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Electronics from Imperial College London from 2008 to 2012. David also obtained an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London from 2003 to 2007 and a Master's degree in Physics from Grenoble INP - UGA from 2005 to 2006.
