Jian Wang

Director of Device Development at Ubiquitous Energy

Jian Wang has a long and varied work experience. In 2010, they began working at The University of Texas at Dallas as a Research Associate, conducting and coordinating research on synthesis and characterization of semiconductor materials for energy applications in an academic setting. Jian also held the role of Research Assistant, setting up an academic laboratory, synthesizing semiconductor nanoparticles for photovoltaic devices, and fabricating, characterizing, and modeling organic and hybrid solar cell devices. Additionally, they were a Student Leader in the MSE Department. In 2017, they moved to the University of Washington, where they were a Research Scientist and a Washington Research Foundation Innovation Fellow. In 2018, they joined the Mistletoe Foundation as a Mistletoe Research Fellow. Jian is currently working at Ubiquitous Energy as the Director of Device Development, a position they have held since 2022.

Jian Wang attended Jilin University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Materials Science and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science. In 2010, they began attending The University of Texas at Dallas, where they earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering in 2015.
