James Hickman

James Hickman is the co-founder, chairperson of the board, and faculty member at Ubiquity University. James has over two decades of experience in strategic development and consulting, with a focus on socially responsible investments.

Hickman began their career in 1979 as the director of the Esalen Institute Soviet-American Exchange Program. James then spent four years as the CEO of AJ Ventures, Inc. before joining IBCS, Inc. in 1992 as the senior vice president for strategic development. In 1998, Hickman left IBCS to join Mosaic Networks, LLC as the managing director. James spent twelve years at Mosaic Networks, during which time the company worked with Russian investors to build Polarnet, a start-up telecom company planning to install a digital cable to unite the Asian east coast with the European west coast via the Arctic Circle.

In 2010, Hickman left Mosaic Networks to join Citizen Democracy Corps (now CDC Development Solutions) as an executive committee member. James spent two years at CDC Development Solutions before joining Ubiquity University in 2012.

James Hickman has a Master of Arts in Psychology from Sonoma State University.
