Sebastien Larrue

Expert Technical Art Director at Ubisoft Singapore

Sebastien Larrue has extensive work experience in the video game industry, primarily at Ubisoft. Sebastien started their career in 1998 as a 3D artist at Kalisto and later became a technical lead artist on cinematics. In 2002, they worked as a 3D teacher at ECV.

Sebastien joined Ubisoft Montreal in 2003 and held several positions, including lead special FX and lead GFX in cinematics. Sebastien then became an art technical director for various Assassin's Creed games, including Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Black Flag. Sebastien also worked on Prince of Persia and Open Season for Xbox 360.

In 2012, Sebastien transitioned to Ubisoft Singapore as an expert technical art director, working on projects such as Skull and Bones and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Sebastien developed various pipelines and tools, optimized workflows, and provided technical support to artists.

Sebastien Larrue's education history begins with their time at High School from 1991 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Maths, Physics, and Biology. Sebastien then attended the Architecture School of Bordeaux from 1992 to 1995, earning a degree in Architecture. In 1996 and 1997, they enrolled at the CNBDI (National Center of comics of Angouleme) and completed a 5-level program in 3D - Art. Finally, in 2012, Sebastien briefly attended Ubisoft Montreal for computer programming.
