Aditya Parameswaran

Aditya Parameswaran is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley since July 2019, and previously an Assistant Professor at the same institution. Aditya focuses on developing tools within the computational notebook ecosystem, notably contributing to Modin, Lux, and NBSafety, aimed at enhancing the productivity of data scientists and analysts. As Co-Founder and President of Ponder from July 2021 to October 2023, Aditya played a key role in commercializing open-source tools that improved the usability and efficiency of the popular Pandas library. Prior experience includes an Assistant Professorship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Aditya advanced a research agenda on democratizing data science, along with a Postdoctoral Researcher role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, developing collaborative data platforms. Aditya's academic journey includes a PhD from Stanford University and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
