Wendy Hillis, AIA, is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in historic preservation and campus architecture. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice Chancellor & Campus Architect at the University of California, Berkeley since July 2019, Wendy previously held positions as University Architect at Tulane University and Executive Director at Preservation Durham. Wendy's expertise in historic preservation was further developed through roles as Historic Preservation Architect at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and as a self-employed architect. In addition to practical experience, Wendy was awarded the Richard Morris Hunt Fellowship in 2007 for research in historic preservation and holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Master's in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation from the University of Virginia.
