Jamie Hunter

Jamie Hunter is a seasoned professional in the field of quantity surveying, currently serving as a Senior Cost Manager at UC Build since March 2024 and also as Director at James Hunter Consultancy Ltd since February 2022. With extensive experience in various contract types including NEC3 and JCT, Jamie has managed significant projects such as the £6m major refurbishment of derelict Law Courts in Bristol and the re-build of a five-storey DIO Army Barracks. Previous roles include Senior Quantity Surveyor positions at Midas Group Ltd, Jehu Project Services Ltd, and Clayewater Homes Ltd, along with a long tenure as Director of J HUNTER (SURVEYING) LTD, where notable projects included a £40m mixed-use development and a £28m hotel. Jamie Hunter holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from Birmingham City University and an MSc in Information Technology from the University of the West of England, complemented by an extensive career beginning as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at John Sisk & Son Ltd.
