Konstantinos Zarbalis is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in neurobiology and regenerative medicine. Currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at the University of California, Davis since February 2009, Zarbalis also contributes as an Investigator at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine from July 2008 onwards. Prior to these roles, Zarbalis founded and held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Ilion from January 2014 to January 2023, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the UCSF Department of Neurology and the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center between July 2001 and July 2008. Zarbalis obtained a Ph.D. in Developmental Neurobiology and an M.S. in Biology from the Technical University of Munich, where studies took place from 1995 to 2000 and 1989 to 1995, respectively.
