Robert Faris

Robert Faris is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in sociology, currently serving as a Professor at the University of California, Davis since July 2007. Previously, Robert held the positions of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Sociology at the same institution. Robert's career includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health and as a Visiting Lecturer at the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Public Policy. Additionally, Robert was the Assistant Director at the Center for Community Capital and worked as a Research Assistant for the National Longitudinal Adolescent Health Survey. Robert earned a PhD and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington.
