Trey Sanders

Trey Sanders has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Trey served as the Head of Product Development at UCAN starting in April 2023. Prior to that, Trey held various leadership roles at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), including President of the Cascadia Section and Chair of the Social Media & Newsletter Committee. Trey also worked at Bulletproof 360 as a Senior Manager and Manager of Research and Development, where they were responsible for driving product development activities in multiple categories. Trey's experience also includes being a Food Scientist at Continental Mills and Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, where they led various programs and managed laboratory operations. Trey began their career as a Clinical Registered Dietitian at San Joaquin Community Hospital/Adventist Health. Trey's educational background includes a Dietetic Internship at The University of Georgia and a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia Graduate School. Additionally, they have experience as a Shift Leader at Keba Spitfire Grill.

Trey Sanders holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Food Science & Nutrition from The University of Georgia, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Trey also completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Consumer Foods & Dietetics from the same university, from 2005 to 2009. In 2019 to 2020, they pursued a certificate in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Washington. Additionally, Trey Sanders has acquired several certifications, including "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" from LinkedIn in August 2022, "Registered Dietitian" from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in December 2011, and "Certified Food Scientist" from the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in November 2016.
