Amy Wickman has a diverse work experience spanning over several healthcare organizations. Amy began their career as a Complex Care Nurse and Health Coach at UCare, where they played a significant role in developing educational materials and training programs for members. Amy then progressed to the position of Quality Improvement Specialist, where they actively participated in creating health and wellness programs. Amy went on to become a Performance Analysis & Improvement Manager at UCare, leading various teams and successfully passing multiple audits. Amy later became the Clinical Services Director, overseeing strategic initiatives and implementing project management processes. Most recently, Amy served as the Vice President of Clinical Services, leading teams to achieve accreditation, implementing new platforms, and developing cost-saving programs. Before their time at UCare, they worked as an Orthopedic Nurse and Surgical First Assistant at Allina Health Coon Rapids Clinic and as an RN Consultant & Instructor at Health Counseling Services. Amy also held positions at HealthEast St. John's Hospital and HealthEast Vascular Center, where they served as an RN and Case Manager, respectively. Throughout their career, Amy has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving patient care and achieving positive outcomes.
Amy Wickman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Nursing from Bethel University, which they earned from 2008 to 2010. Amy also has an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine, obtained from 1994 to 1996. In 2015, they completed a Mini MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business, specializing in Healthcare Business Administration. Furthermore, they hold additional certifications in Executive Leadership from AHIP (obtained in 2023) and Public Health Nursing from the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
