Jianguo Wang has extensive work experience in scientific research and pharmaceuticals. Jianguo is currently a Principal Scientist at UCB, where they are involved in translational biology research activities related to complement-mediated autoimmune diseases. Before joining UCB, they worked as a Senior Scientist at RA Pharmaceuticals, focusing on preclinical translational studies in complement-mediated autoimmune diseases. Prior to that, they were a Research Scientist at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where their research mainly focused on validating novel targets in macrophage inflammation and cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. Jianguo also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying the role of microparticles in inflammation and cancer-associated venous thrombosis. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Minnesota, investigating tissue factor gene regulation.
Jianguo Wang holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from Shandong University. Jianguo further pursued their studies at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell Biology.
