Vanessa Alston

Vanessa Alston is an experienced professional with a diverse background in operations and administrative support within the medical writing field. Since December 2017, Vanessa has served as Operations Coordinator for Global Medical Writing at UCB, following a title change in early 2018. Previously, from March 2006 to December 2017, Vanessa worked as Office Manager for the Global Medical Writing Team at UCB BioSciences Inc. Earlier in their career, Vanessa held positions such as Senior Administrative Assistant at Glaxo Wellcome Inc. and Transcripts Manager at UNC Charlotte, along with serving as a police officer for the Boston Housing Authority after completing training at the Fall River Police Academy. Vanessa's educational background includes studies at the University of Phoenix and UNC-Charlotte, as well as a diploma in Executive Secretarial Word Processing and Accounting from The Hickox Business School.
