Sebastian Chamorro

Sebastian Chamorro has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Sebastian started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the International School of Panama in 2012. Sebastian then worked as a Produce assistant at Stop & Shop in 2018. Later that year, they joined The Associated Press as an Election Night Stringer, reporting preliminary election results. In 2019, they became an Academic Tutor at Varsity Tutors, where they provided academic support to students.

From 2018 to 2020, Sebastian worked as a Field Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau, conducting Census interviews and investigating non-responding addresses. Sebastian also took on a role as a Coordinator of Communications at Movimiento Nuevo Perú, Comité de peruanos en el exterior, from 2020 to 2021.

In 2022, Sebastian joined Danbury Area Refugee Assistance (DARA) as an ESL Tutor & Driving Instructor, working until 2023. Sebastian also worked as an Interpreter at IRIS: Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services from 2022.

Currently, Sebastian works as a Teacher at Uceda Institute, starting in March 2023. Additionally, they have had a self-employed position as a Freelance Photographer since September 2015.

Sebastian Chamorro pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2008 to 2013, they attended the International School of Panama and achieved an International Baccalaureate (IB) Degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Connecticut in 2013 and successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science in 2017. Sebastian later furthered their education by studying at SOAS University of London from 2019 to 2022, where they attained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Global Diplomacy.
