Tamar Andrews, EdD, serves as the Director of the Early Childhood Education Department at American Jewish University since May 2017, where a degree program in early childhood education was created. With extensive academic experience, Tamar has held the position of Professor at UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies since January 2005 and has been a University Instructor at California State University-Dominguez Hills and National University since 2010. Additionally, Tamar has instructed at Santa Monica College since 2007 and provides CPR and First Aid training for early childhood education settings through CPR by Tamar established in 2008. Previously, Tamar directed Temple Isaiah Preschool from May 2003 to June 2023, where the preschool gained NAEYC accreditation and developed an award-winning STEM program. Tamar holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from California State University and a Doctor of Education from Walden University.
