W.b. Belcher (William)

William Belcher has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. W.B. (William) currently holds the position of President at Ucross since April 2022 and previously served as the Director of Development & External Relations from December 2017 to March 2022. Alongside their work at Ucross, they are the President & Founder of Wordhorse Strategies, LLC since February 2017. In the past, they worked as the Director of External Affairs at The Hyde Collection from September 2015 to May 2017, and as the Director of Development at MASS MoCA from April 2013 to September 2015. Additionally, they served as the Senior Director of Corporate, Government, and Foundation Relations at Russell Sage College from May 2006 to April 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Grant Writer at The Hyde Collection from October 2002 to May 2006, an Associate Developmental Editor at McGraw-Hill/Dushkin from October 2000 to May 2002, and held a role in the Stage Operations Staff at Glimmerglass Opera from 1998 to 2000.

W.B. (William) Belcher obtained their BA degree from Hartwick College between 1997 and 2000. During this time, their field of study focused on English and Theatre Arts. Later, in 2005, they enrolled in Goddard College and pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing, which they completed in 2007.
