Tanvi Yalamanchili

Research Intern At Medina Lab at UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital Oakland

Tanvi Yalamanchili is currently a Research Intern at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute and serves as Vice President for the Berkeley Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program. Previously, Tanvi completed an undergraduate research apprenticeship at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on COVID-19 research under Professor Stefano M. Bertozzi. Other experience includes a Medical Research Internship at Berkeley Pharma Tech, where Tanvi led a team to write a scientific review on mesenchymal stem cells for ALS therapy, and a Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills Summer Internship at Stanford Health Care, which involved hands-on surgical training and research on Ebstein Anomaly. Tanvi also participated in the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science, studying mathematical modeling of biological systems. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley, Tanvi's educational background includes completing high school at Saint Francis High School.
