Phyllis Simmons Ma

Phyllis Simmons MA, CSP, has extensive experience in the fields of workers' compensation, ergonomics, and safety management. Currently serving as the Manager of Workers' Compensation and Ergonomics at UCSF Medical Center since June 2015, Phyllis oversees programs related to workers' compensation, ergonomics, and return-to-work initiatives. Prior roles include Ergonomist/Program Coordinator at Chevron Corporation and over 17 years as a Safety Management and Ergonomics Consultant with Creative Safety Designs, where Phyllis designed integrated safety and wellness programs and conducted training and OSHA compliance audits. Phyllis holds a Master's degree in Education/Instructional Technology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's degree in Safety and Systems Management from the University of Southern California, along with experience as a professional speaker at conferences and seminars.
