Richard Harris

Richard Harris is an experienced professional with a background in technology innovation, consulting and incubation. Richard has been involved in various projects since 1995. In 1995, they co-founded The Digital Village, a multiple media company, as CTO and Research Director. In 1999, they founded Two Worlds Consulting, a strategy and technology innovation consultancy and incubator. In 2008, they became iCKO and Development partner at BIOSS, a global organisational consultancy. In 2011, they co-founded Connect TV Ltd, a spin-off from the Slipstream architecture, which was the first service to seamlessly integrate Broadcast and IP TV. In 2013, they became an Assessor at InnovateUK and Co-Founder and Senior Adviser at udu, Inc., a startup creating a self-organising, adaptive software ecosystem. In 2015, they founded and became Director of Balquhidder Community Broadband, a Community Interest Company dedicated to bringing Gigabit+ fibre broadband to the Scottish Highlands. In 2017, they became iCEO of Playing Forward LLC., an emerging player in the creation and delivery of interactive experiences in Augmented and Mixed Reality. In 2021, they became Co-Founder of Intelligent Reality, a start-up in adaptive data intelligence and forecasting, focussing on Public Health and Environmental Analytics.

Richard Harris attended the University of Aberdeen from 1975 to 1979, earning a B.Sc. (Hons) in Zoology, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology. Richard then attended the University of York from 1979 to 1980, studying Computer Science and Biological Computation.
