Alexandre Melo

Football Operations Specialist at UEFA

Alexandre Melo has a diverse work experience in various industries. Alexandre started their career as an Investigation Scholar at LNEC in 1994 and worked there until 1995. Alexandre then moved on to Tecnovia, S.A. as a Construction Site Manager from 1995 to 1996. Alexandre joined SOMAGUE in 1997 as a Construction Site Manager and worked there until 2000. Alexandre then worked at SOPOL as a Construction Site Manager from 2000 to 2002. Alexandre gained experience as a Stadium Manager at SPM - Sporting Património e Marketing from 2002 to 2008, where they were responsible for the overall maintenance and organization of the stadium infrastructures and football events. Alexandre was also a Stadium Venue Manager for UEFA during the EURO2004 European Football Championship. Alexandre then joined TCN Property Projects as a Project Manager from 2008 to 2009. Following that, they worked at Grupo Joaquim Chaves as a Director of Installations from 2009 onwards. Currently, Alexandre is employed as a Football Operations Specialist at UEFA, a position they have held since 2018.

Alexandre Melo attended Oficinas S. José from 1982 to 1989. Alexandre then enrolled at Instituto Superior Técnico from 1990 to 1995, studying Civil Engineering. Later on, in 1999, they joined Universidade Católica Portuguesa to pursue an Advanced Management Programme for Executives. The end year for this last educational experience is not provided.
