Sebastian Burkard has a diverse range of work experience in the media and sports industry. Sebastian began their career in 2005 as an intern at Fußball-Club Augsburg e.V. Sebastian then worked as an Assistant Venue Media Officer/Volunteer Assistant for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany.

In 2006, Sebastian became a Press Officer for 1. FC Kaiserslautern e.V., where they organized press conferences and media events, wrote press releases, and edited club publications.

Sebastian's next role was as a TV & Media Coordinator for Euro 2008 SA in 2008. Sebastian then joined Oxfam Deutschland e.V. in 2010 as a Media Manager for the 1Goal - Education for all campaign.

From 2016 to 2016, Sebastian worked as a Venue Media Operations Manager for UEFA EURO 2016. Sebastian then joined HBS in 2018 as a Broadcast Liaison Officer.

Sebastian Burkard completed their German Abitur (A-Level equivalent) and graduated from Friedrich-Magnus Schwerdt Gymnasium in Speyer in 1997. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Communication and Political Science at the University of Augsburg, from 1998 to 2004.
