Pieter Monteban

Pieter Monteban, MD, FEBS, is an experienced Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon currently practicing at az Vesalius since November 2021. With a strong background in trauma surgery, Pieter serves as a certified traumasurgeon for the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) and is a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery. Prior experience includes roles at Bergman Clinics B.V. and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where Pieter focused on orthopaedic trauma and shoulder surgery. Pieter's training includes prestigious fellowships at Groote Schuur Hospital and extensive residency experience at Atrium MC and academisch ziekenhuis Maastricht. Education includes advanced degrees in Trauma Surgery from KU Leuven and early studies at Maastricht University.
