Richard Fitzgerald QFA, CCSP

Richard Fitzgerald QFA, CCSP has a long and varied career in the financial and technology industries. Richard began their career in 1994 as an Applications Developer at AIG, where they were part of the team that deployed software in Europe for the company. In 1996, they moved to Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer in the Developer Tools Division, where they were responsible for Build Lab management. In 1997, they founded and became the CEO of Fleetmatics. In 2006, they founded and became the Managing Director of The Wealth Shop, a company specializing in tax and financial planning. In 2010, they founded WealthTrack Software Ltd and in 2016, the company was acquired by Applied Systems, where they became the Director of Product Innovation for Europe. In 2021, they moved to Fiserv as Vice President of Global Product Management, and in 2022 they became the Global Head of SaaS Product at UFODRIVE.

Richard Fitzgerald QFA, CCSP has a long and varied educational history. Richard attended Saint Aidan's CBS and Larkhill BNS before going on to Trinity College Dublin, where they obtained a B.Sc Mgmt (Hons) in Management in 1994. Richard then went on to Dublin Institute of Technology (BCS) to gain a Graduate Diploma in IT in 1997. In 2005, they qualified as a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) from LIA. In 2008, they obtained an Advanced Diploma from Dublin Business School in Stockbroking Investment. In 2007, they received a TMITI from the Irish Taxation Institute in Taxation. In 2017, they were awarded a Certified Cloud Security Professional from (ISC)². In 2019, they began a Data Analytics for Financial Services course at University College Dublin, which they are still currently enrolled in.
