Fcca Andrew Ssekamwa

Andrew Ssekamwa, FCCA has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting. Andrew is currently the Chief Finance Officer at Uganda Airlines since March 2023. Prior to this, from June 2020 to February 2023, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at I&M Bank Uganda, where they were responsible for providing supportive and advisory services to all business segments. From June 2019 to May 2020, Andrew held the position of Head of Finance at Movit Products Limited, where they were responsible for budget preparation and financial planning. Before that, they worked as a Finance Manager at Standard Chartered Bank from December 2016 to June 2019, where they provided financial input and coordinated the formulation of business operating plans. Andrew also has experience working as a Financial Reporting Accountant at SABMiller from July 2015 to June 2016. Andrew started their career at PwC, where they worked as an Assistant Audit Manager from July 2013 to June 2015 and as an Associate from September 2011 to June 2013. Andrew also completed an internship at Uganda Bureau of Statistics from May 2006 to June 2006.

Andrew Ssekamwa, FCCA has a diverse education history that includes both academic degrees and certifications. Andrew completed a Global MBA at the University of London from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Statistics degree in Development Economics and International Development from Makerere University, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. In 2010, they also earned a Certificate in Project planning and management from Makerere University. Before their university education, Ssekamwa attended St Mary's College Kisubi from 2002 to 2007, where they completed their UACE.

In addition to their formal education, Ssekamwa has also acquired various certifications. Andrew obtained a certificate in Data Analysis for Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in February 2023. Andrew also completed the Leadership Insights on Leading with Agility program offered by Skillsoft in August 2022. Ssekamwa is a Certified Public Accountant after successfully completing the program offered by ICPAU (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda) in March 2019. Andrew has also earned certifications in Learning Data Analytics and Financial Analysis: Introduction to Business Performance Analysis through LinkedIn in October 2018 and September 2018, respectively. Moreover, Ssekamwa is an Association of Certified Chartered Accountant, a certification they obtained from ACCA in June 2015.
