Simon Wagland

Simon Wagland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and management within the industrial and resource sectors. Currently serving as General Manager for the Industrials and Resources East Division at UGL since June 2022, Simon leads maintenance, shutdowns, and capital upgrades across various power generation and manufacturing plants. Previous roles include General Manager Operations at Mechanical Maintenance Solutions and various key positions at Downer, focusing on power generation operations and industrial management in Northeastern Australia. Simon's background also includes significant leadership roles at MHPS Plant Services and Forgacs, complemented by a solid foundation as an Army Officer. Holding a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor's in Information Systems from UNSW, Simon demonstrates a strong commitment to strategic planning and operational excellence in diverse environments.
