Brian J. Masterson

Brian J. Masterson, MD, MPH, currently serves as the Senior Behavioral Health Medical Director at UnitedHealth Group, overseeing Optum Behavioral Health operations for Medicaid markets in Iowa and Michigan since October 2016. With experience as an Internist and Psychiatrist at Inova Health since January 2013, Brian has also held various leadership positions in the United States Air Force, including AFRC Command Surgeon and Group Commander. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from National Defense University.
