Gretchen Block

Gretchen Block is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information security and risk management. Currently serving as SVP of Enterprise Information Security at Optum since February 2019, Gretchen sets strategic direction for security risk management frameworks and enterprise access management. Prior roles include Vice President and Director of Risk Strategy and Compliance Governance at UnitedHealth Group, where Gretchen established and led security compliance monitoring programs, developed common risk frameworks, and managed PCI compliance programs. Previous experience spans positions at John Deere Health, including Supervisor and Information Technology Administrator, as well as Division Computer Security Manager at Deere & Co. Education includes a high school diploma from Davenport North High School.
