Yoshitaka (Taka) Matsuyama CPCU ARM currently serves as the Managing Director of the Japan Office at United Insurance Brokers Limited since April 2020. With extensive experience in the insurance industry, Matsuyama previously held the position of Senior Deputy General Manager at Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., overseeing Corporate Marketing from April 2015 to April 2020. Prior to that, Matsuyama was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Chicago branch at SOMPO JAPAN INS CO OF AMERICA from April 2010 to March 2015, focusing on marketing planning. Earlier career roles include managing marine and hull claims at Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., and leading Japanese account marketing in Singapore at Sompo Japan Insurance Asia Ptd Ltd. Matsuyama began a career in marine hull insurance with The Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance from 1988 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree from International University of Japan and a Bachelor's degree from Chuo University.
