About the Opportunity

Situated within UJA’s Annual Campaign Team, UJA’s Next Gen group engages donors under the age of 40 to help build the future of philanthropists, volunteers and leaders for our community. 

Reporting to the Director, Next Gen, the Coordinator, Next Gen is an integral member of the Annual Campaign Team, supporting the fundraising, donor stewardship, events, and engagement strategies for our donors under the age of 40.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor and Volunteer Services: Manage inquiries, ensure timely follow-up, and process donations and payment requisitions with accuracy and discretion. Work with volunteer fundraisers and the Next Gen volunteer committee.
  • Support to Next Gen Fundraisers: Assist fundraisers (both professional and volunteer) with donor portfolio management, tracking performance metrics, and organizing donor engagement activities.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as a point of contact for interdepartmental and cross-functional communications, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
  • Event Support: Provide support in planning and executing high-impact events and initiatives for Next Gen donors.
  • Reporting: Support efforts in data analysis, reporting, and CRM management to support fundraising strategies. Maintain and enhance donor data integrity and reporting accuracy. Compile and present regular reports on campaign performance and results.
  • High-Level Administrative Support: Manage sensitive donor interactions, coordinate donor material requests, and support key fundraising efforts. Manage requests and needs from the Next Gen team and in collaboration with other teams at UJA such as Marketing, Data & Analytics, Finance, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-secondary degree, or equivalent experience
  • Skills: Exceptional organization and communication. Excellent attention to detail. Self-starter, proactive, and effective time management. Strong writing. Adaptability, problem-solving, and solution oriented. Collaborative, creative and enthusiastic.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with non-profits, the Toronto Jewish community and/or experience in Jewish Communal Service considered an asset. Jewish experiential education considered an asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Willingness and ability to learn additional applications and platforms as needed.

This is a full-time permanent position, Union Level 2. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
