Balaji Sriram has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Balaji is currently working as the Product Head at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank since 2022. Previously, they served as the Head of Digital Savings Product at Airtel Payments Bank from 2019 to 2022. Before that, they worked at Jana Small Finance Bank, where they held the roles of Regional Head & Business Strategy (Micro Savings & Loans) from 2016 to 2019, and Product Head – Liabilities from 2014 to 2016. Prior to Jana Small Finance Bank, Balaji was associated with ING Vysya Bank as the Product Head for Salary & Financial Inclusion in 2014. Balaji also had a significant tenure at Axis Bank, where they held various positions including National Head - Agri Gold Loan's from 2012 to 2014, Senior Manager - Product, Financial Inclusion (Rural Banking) from 2010 to 2012, Senior Manager - Salary Product from 2007 to 2010, and Deputy Manager - Cluster Head (Salary & TASC) from 2006 to 2007. Balaji started their banking career at HSBC in 2005 as the CSO - Salary Accounts, and prior to that, they worked at ICICI Bank as the BDO - Salary Accounts from 2003 to 2005.
