Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson OBE has had an extensive career in the field of science and research. Doug currently serves as the Science Director at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) since 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Nottingham Trent University, including Board Member and Honorary Professor, from 2017 to present.

Before joining Nottingham Trent University, Doug worked at the Environment Agency, where they held several positions. These include Chief Scientist from 2021 to 2022, Director of Research, Analysis, and Evaluation from 2016 to 2021, and Director of Scientific and Evidence Services from 2009 to 2016.

Doug Wilson OBE completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Human Ecology at The University of Huddersfield between 1989 and 1993. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Science from 1993 to 1996 at the same university.
